Henkel Beauty Care Professional has made history by earning a Guinness World Records title for their 24-hour global online hair seminar, Hairdressers United.

Henkel collaborated with the Fritz Henkel Stiftung charity foundation and organized a live stream event on May 5. Featuring 41 artist-led tutorials from 19 countries, the event ran for 27 hours and 34 minutes—qualifying them for the Guinness World Record for "longest online hair education seminar streamed over the internet!"

Nine of Henkel's brands came together for this special event, and included Schwarzkopf Professional, Alterna, Joico, Kenra Professional, #MyDentity, Pravana and Sexy Hair.

"It was a privilege to have been part of this amazing event, thank you for putting this together and for such a worthy cause,” said Lesley Jennison, a Schwarzkopf Professional global ambassador.

Ambassador Tyler Johnston also added that “it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of this incredible project all for charity and to support people affected by COVID-19."

The livestream was showcased in nine languages, and covered dozens of hair education topics including blonding, balayage, cutting, styling and updos.
