EP 134: Using Google Ads to Get Your Spa to the Top of Search Results with Deirdre Andrews
Mon, 04 May 2020 10:00:00 +0000

From business mapping to email marketing, here's what we covered on Spa Marketing Made Easy in April.

Well, we're officially closing out a full calendar month of quarantine mode and first let me start by asking…

Do you have any idea how strong you are?

I know this month has not been easy, and I know there have been tears, and anxiety, and the weight of the world feeling like it's sitting on your chest. I can't ignore how monumentally tough this situation has been for you and for the spa industry as a whole.

But what I also can't ignore is the monumental strength that I have seen within my audience, community, and students within my programs. There simply aren't words to describe it.

Please, please, please continue to press forward, remain strong, and continue pivoting even if it feels uncomfortable. Your business is strengthening and building muscles as I type, and even though the future is still cloudy, we will come out of this stronger together.

And if you need a little encouragement or dose of actionable tips and takeaways, that's what Spa Marketing Made Easy is here for. Here's a quick round-up of the fresh content to hit your podcast app this past month:

Episode #130: Crafting Promotions for Maximum Profitability with Sara and Melissa of Sykes & Lanno Skinbar

Are you pulling together promotions without rhyme or reason? How about drawing up a deal only to realize once people are buying that it actually doesn't serve your long-term business sustainability? Don't fret, that's what Episode 130 is for!

In this episode, I'm joined again by my Growth Factor students, Sara and Melissa of Sykes & Lanno Skinbar, who are knocking it out of the park with crafting promotions for maximum profitability. In fact, this skill helped them meet a big monthly revenue goal in a matter of a few hours, and in this episode, they're sharing their top tips and ways of thinking through promotion creation so that your clients aren't the only ones benefiting.

What do you do when it feels like all the progress you've made toward your goals feels derailed? While you may feel defeated, the answer isn't throwing in the towel, but rather, finding a new framework, resetting your goal, and crafting a new plan.

In this episode, I'm joined by Ali Schiller who is the founder of Accountability Works and has been featured in Fast Company, Business Insider, and is the featured accountability expert in Entrepreneur.com's "Goal Standard Challenge," where she advised an audience of 25,000 people participating in the program.

Clearly, goal setting is her zone of genius, but more so than that, it's her ability to help you see your goals through and adjust your plan to achieve them along your unique journey.

Episode #132: How to Build a Local Following and Get Found on Instagram with Danielle Pastula

Sure, you're happy to get engagement on any one of your social media posts, but when it's primarily from people who don't live anywhere close to your business, well, it's a little less than ideal.

As a local brick-and-mortar spa owner, our goal for social media should always be to connect and build relationships with the people who live in our local area and actually stand a chance to walk through our doors. Here to help us learn how to get found by and build up our local following is my long-time copywriter and social media strategist, Danielle Pastula.

Together we discuss why getting strategic with hashtags and location tags on Instagram is the key to becoming your area's top aesthetic expert.

Episode #133: Leveraging The Power of Going Niche with Tara Walsh of The Lashpreneur

"The riches are in the niches." You may have heard the saying before, but you might be thinking, "How does specializing in one thing bring me more clients, more revenue, more success? That doesn't add up!"

I know it might seem counterintuitive on the surface, but when you dig deeper, you'll find that focusing on your one thing is also what allows you to become the ultimate expert, and no one is a better example of this than my guest on this episode, Tara Walsh.

Tara is founder of The Lashpreneur, where she shares her passion and genius for helping other lash artists start, build and grow their incredibly successful lash artistry businesses.

Stay strong, continue flourishing, and happy listening!

With so much gratitude,
Daniela XO
