Find Out How You Can Benefit from Coty’s New $200,000 Coronavirus (COVID-19) Relief Program

The professional beauty community continues to face challenging times amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which has led to salon closures and layoffs across North America.

According to the Brookings Institute, the 2.6 million "personal service" workers (including in salons and barbershops) are the third most vulnerable group of employees affected by this pandemic.

With this in mind, Coty Professional Beauty is showing their support for beauty professionals with their new Hairdressers at Heart $200,000 COVID-19 relief program.

The company plans on distributing up to $1,000 each to approximately 200 licensed beauty professionals and nail technicians across North America to help offer some financial relief during this unpredictable time.

"We know the power of artists supporting artists, and with each of these relief checks, we're helping you cushion the burden of lost business, educational investment and more," Coty said in a statement. "As a vital part of this community and industry, we want you to spend these funds in whatever way creates the biggest impact for you."

The program is open to beauty professionals who are above the age of 18 and are residing in Canada or the U.S. To enter, you are required to fill out an online application with short questions about how the crisis has affected you and how you've also assisted others in need.

To further support those affected by this COVID-19, Coty has donated 800 iPad minis to schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District for home schooling, and more than 180,000 pairs of gloves to healthcare providers in L.A. and New York. Coty has also manufactured and distributed free hand sanitizer to New York area medical and emergency services that are facing shortages.

For stylists that are also looking for ways to maintain and sharpen their styling skills while at home, Coty is offering more than 100 free business and education classes online through Coty's Virtual Classroom and Wella Education's Instagram.

For any stylists and salons that have booked any classes using their Global Elite points, Coty has promised to reimburse any points used for classes that have been cancelled due to the pandemic, and they extended March expiration dates until June 30.
