Protect your business with Eleventh Hour Beauty and support the Hair & Beauty Charity to #StandWithSalons

Posted: 22 Apr 2020 02:32 PM PDT

As the country settles in for another three weeks of lockdown, Eleventh Hour Beauty is supporting the hair and beauty industry by providing a platform to keep in touch with clients and prepare for business once we begin to return to work.

Eleventh Hour is a new online platform that helps hair and beauty businesses and professionals fill empty slots, and helps customers find last-minute appointments. During the pandemic, they've adapted the platform to allow salons and freelancers to list 'catch-up' appointments to keep in-touch with loyal customers and pre-book slots for after the lockdown. Catch-ups can be used for virtual consultations, advice on DIY treatments or even just a friendly conversation.

While we don't know exactly how many clients will be allowed in a salon at any one time once we are back, the 'catch-up appointments' functionality will help stylists, therapists and nail techs stay positive by gauging client demand for after Covid-19. A significant number of potential clients across the UK have already joined the platform, ready to start booking their appointments, thanks to Eleventh Hour's #StandWithSalons campaign.

And, in these difficult times, there is no initial financial commitment required from salons – in fact, they will have a FREE eleven-week subscription from when they re-open. Salons can sign-up now to ensure they keep in contact with clients, promote services and begin taking the real bookings that will revive their businesses.* For every salon, freelancer or customer that signs up to the platform, Eleventh Hour Beauty will be donating £1.00 to the Hair & Beauty Charity Covid-19 Relief Fund.

Founder, beauty therapist Abigail Fletcher says, "Once we all know when we can start trading again, we will be swamped with enquiries. However, some clients will book several appointments in one go, and across different services, which they may not attend. We do not want to be losing revenue in an already difficult financial period, and Eleventh Hour will be able to match your last-minute appointment with the clients who need them, minimising your loss of income. The donation to the Hair & Beauty Charity will help those in our industry who are the hardest hit and most vulnerable."

Over £1.2million is lost in the hair industry** alone in missed appointments each year, and Eleventh Hour Beauty seeks to address this by pairing customers wanting last-minute appointments with salons offering them.

Eleventh Hour Beauty is significantly different to other platforms in that it is based on a fixed monthly subscription fee with no hidden costs or commission. There is no limit on the amount or type of treatments offered and salons determine the price of these and take payment directly from the customer. They can even decide whether or not to accept the potential client, as salons give clients a rating just as the client gives a rating to the salon or service.

Potential clients join Eleventh Hour Beauty for free, and the launch is being backed by a full consumer PR campaign, as well as ambassador, entrepreneur and reality TV star Olivia Bowen's 2.3 million Instagram followers @oliviadbowen.

Prices for Eleventh Hour Beauty start at £9.99 per month for a student with one diary/column up to £49.99 per month for 6-10 diaries/columns and no fee is required until after 11 weeks from when they start re-trading.
